Welcome to the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science of Nanjing Medical University! Our department has a staff of one professor, three associate professors, seven lecturers, six assistants, and four laboratory technicians. 42.8% of the staff hold a master’s degree. The Department has a 380-computer laboratory.

We offer the students two courses: Advanced Mathematics and College Information Technology. The Department always attaches great importance to the teaching and teaching innovation, and has set up the computer management of teaching files. In the past few years, we have authored many textbooks, won the second and third prize of Jiangsu Province Teaching Achievement Award, and Luopu Award (twice). One faculty member has won the honor of Excellent Young Teacher by the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province.

Our department also promotes scientific research. The faculty have participated in some 863 Program projects and several Nation Natural Science Foundation projects. Besides, the Department has undertaken a 200,000-yuan project funded by the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province. We have published more than 20 academic papers, 10 of which are in core journals. In addition, we have won the second and third prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress Award and obtained two patents.

Currently, the staff are engaged in improving the informationalization of the management for teaching and scientific research, and in making more programs on mathematical biology, medicinal signal processing, medicinal instrumental design, and so on.

We now emphasize young faculty member development to facilitate the development of the Department. The Department is making efforts to start a new undergraduate program to further its development.
