The Laboratory of Clinical Pathology was established in 2003, backed by the Department of Pathology of the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Nanjing Medical University and the pathology departments of over ten affiliated hospitals of the University. There are 15 staff members in the Department of Pathology, including 3 full-time professors, 2 part-time professors, and one associate professor. In recent 5 years, the Department has graduated 40 Master’s degree candidates and 6 Ph.D. candidates. Currently, there are 34 Master’s degree candidates and 12 Ph.D. candidates studying in the Department. So far the faculty have published more than 30 papers about teaching in journals, and produced 10 textbooks, some teaching reference books and 3 CAI coursewares. The Department has received 2 Excellent Teaching Awards from Jiangsu Province and 5 Excellent Teaching Awards from Nanjing Medical University.
